The Go Devil is used in wireline operations to create a base to cut the line from the rope socket when the top of the tool string is inaccessible. Go-Devils are designed the same manner as the sheep’s foot cutter bar. The difference between the two is the bottom face of the go-devil is cut at a 90° angle to the length of the body. Go-devils generally come in 3 foot lengths, but more length options are available.
