An A Probe is used during wireline operations to manipulate the lock dogs on a Baker style selective lock mandrel to allow dogs to collapse. This allows an assembly to be removed from a profile, or tubing collar. The A Probe allows upward facing lock dogs of a selective lock mandrel be retracted.
